This transatlantic voyage from the Icelandic capital of Reykjavík to New York City begins with two days at sea embracing the open ocean. Our first stop offers a rare chance to visit the intriguing town of Qaqortoq on the coast of Greenland and discover Inuit culture as well as the influence on the landscape of long Danish rule. Next, we set off across the Labrador Sea to find out about the Viking heritage of L’Anse aux Meadows in Canada’s Newfoundland. The early fall season will be revealing itself in the stunning russet colors of the turning leaves, which put on a show as we pass through the Canadian ports of Corner Brook, for great hiking, Sydney, for Gaelic culture, and Halifax, to see the famous lighthouse at Peggy's Cove. Our voyage concludes with thrilling exploration of Boston and New York.
