14-Day Asia from Yokohama (Tokyo), Japan

Day 1: Yokohama (Tokyo)
Yokohama is your gateway to Tokyo, the capital of Japan, considered by many to be one of the greatest cities in the world.

Here, visitors will discover an extraordinary mix of modern culture and ancient tradition unlike anywhere else. Sprawling, modern shopping meccas stand beside serene palace gardens and the bright lights of the modern city are mysteriously reconciled with traditional architecture and culture.

No visit to Tokyo is complete without experiencing the fascinating culture and history. Stand in awe in front of the monumental bronze statue of Amida Buddah, believed to date back to 1252, or visit the Sensoji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest temple.

Day 2: Fun Day At Sea
No port today! It’s a great time to explore your ship and its exciting entertainment, food and activities! Or take it easy at the pool, spa, or... if you book a room with a balcony, enjoy the waves.

Day 3: Osaka (Kyoto)
Japan’s second-largest city, Osaka, is the unofficial culinary capital of Japan. Its backstreets and laneways are full of restaurants and bars serving delicious local cuisine. Osaka is also home to some of the most famous castles, temples, and monuments from Japan’s past, just begging to be explored. The 16th-century Osaka Castle is a magnificent white and gold landmark not to be missed. First built in 728 the world heritage listed Todaiji Temple features the immense Great Buddha Statue and Sika deer that wander freely throughout the temple grounds.

Day 4: Fun Day At Sea
No port today! It’s a great time to explore your ship and its exciting entertainment, food and activities! Or take it easy at the pool, spa, or... if you book a room with a balcony, enjoy the waves.

Day 5: Fukuoka (Hakata)
Hakata is overflowing with fascinating history, serene temples and spectacular scenery. Outside Hakata, Kokura Castle is surrounded by a beautiful garden where visitors can witness a traditional tea ceremony. Soak up the spectacular scenery on a gondola-like boat called a donko as you cruise along the Yanagawa River. Explore the Moji Historical District, a charming area that sits along Kyushu's waterfront boasting many interesting historic buildings.

Day 6: Seogwipo (Jeju)
Seogwipo is your gateway to beautiful Jeju Island. As soon as you step foot on Jeju it will be easy to see why it’s often referred to as “The Hawaii of Korea”. Soaring Mount Hallasan, a dormant volcano covered in lush green vegetation dominates the stunning landscape which also features white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and winding coastal trails. Visitors can hike up the mountain for breathtaking views of the crater lake near its summit or visit Cheonjeyeon Waterfall - known as the Pond of God. You can admire the falls from the Seonimgyo arch bridge, which offers a spectacular view of the surrounding rock formations and verdant parkland. Jeju's Jungmung Saekdal Beach is also popular, nestled in a secluded spot surrounded by cliffs. Alternatively, visitors can explore Seogwipo Healing Forest offering a serene 11 km-long forest trail through cypress and cedar trees.

Day 7: Fun Day At Sea
No port today! It’s a great time to explore your ship and its exciting entertainment, food and activities! Or take it easy at the pool, spa, or... if you book a room with a balcony, enjoy the waves.

Day 8: Keelung (Taipei)
On a Carnival cruise to Taiwan, guests can explore Keelung, gateway to Taipei. A sophisticated modern metropolis that has not forgotten its rich traditional past, Taipei is the largest city and capital of Taiwan, located on the Danshui River.

For those who love the hustle and bustle of a big city, Taipei truly is a great place to visit. It is renowned for its shopping malls, among the most popular being Taipei 101 Mall. If shopping isn’t your thing explore the quaint, old cobblestone streets of Chiufen village or take in some history at the National Palace Museum. For something peaceful, visit the Tienlai Hot Springs Resort - nestled among the verdant slopes of Yangmingshan National Park or head to Yehliu Geographic Park, known for its otherworldly rock formations.

Day 9: Fun Day At Sea

Day 10: Hong Kong
Imagine a shimmering forest of steel and glass skyscrapers, bustling harbor waters filled with junks and sampans, and the inviting green hills of Kowloon. Welcome to Hong Kong, a top travel destination that never fails to enchant with all its excitement and exotic charm!

On Hong Kong Island, modern skyscrapers and luxury hotels rise majestically. The narrow streets are alive with noodle vendors and fortunetellers. The countless shops offer everything from bespoke suits and ancient porcelain to the latest in consumer electronics. Over seven million people move at a dizzying pace in this vibrant hub of capitalism, commerce, and enterprise.

With so much to see and do, the hardest part will be choosing what to do first. For a breathtaking view of the entire city, head to Victoria Peak. Savor lunch at one of the city's famous dim sum restaurants. Stroll down the crowded streets to feel the city's energetic pulse. And whether you're in the mood or not—shop. After all, you're in the duty-free capital of the world!

A bustling city on the Mekong River, Ho Chi Minh City offers markets galore and, historical sites. The air is filled with the cries of street hawkers and honking horns. Day 15: Singapore
Embark on an unforgettable journey to Singapore with a Carnival Cruise. Each cruise getaway begins or ends with the Singapore Harbour, a destination that every cruise lover should experience. The cruise showcases the elegance of Singapore, with highlights including the world-renowned Orchard Road, the awe-inspiring Marina Bay, and the tranquil Botanical Gardens. This Southeast Asia cruise package promises to leave you spellbound. But with Carnival Cruise Line, the journey is about more than just the destination. It's about immersing yourself in exciting onboard activities, savouring a variety of dining options, and diving into the thrilling adventures you've always dreamed of on the best cruise ship.

Carnival Luminosa® is new to the Carnival fleet… and we’d say this ship is all set to make a first impression.

Guests setting sail on Carnival Luminosa can expect hospitality and fun that's pure, unmistakable Carnival, with so many fan-favorite onboard features like the flavors of Alchemy Bar®, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse™ and RedFrog® Rum Bar; the entertainment of Playlist Productions™, Piano Bar 88 and The Punchliner™ Comedy Club; plus the relaxation of Cloud 9 Spa™ and Serenity™. And when you’re indoors, you can still expect great views and lots of natural light — the ship was built with plenty of windows.

So when you choose to sail on Carnival Luminosa, can we just say… great choice! There’s just one more decision to make: is Australia or Alaska more your cruising style? We ask because this world-traveling ship will kick things off sailings from Australia in the summer months with plenty of itinerary options… before heading to Seattle for a summer of Alaska cruises. And when the ship’s heading from one region to the other, we take the opportunity to sail unique Transpacific itineraries that stop in spots like Fiji, Tahiti, Hawaii, Japan and more. So, what we’re saying is… with scenery like this, you’re gonna put those windows to good use!

Why Carnival?

Cause we're just as fun as you, of course!

In 2014, Carnival Spirit, currently the largest and newest cruise ship home ported year-round in Sydney, was joined by sister ship Carnival Legend which has been sailing on an extended summer season Down Under every year, until recently departing for the incoming Carnival Splendor.

Carnival Spirit will reposition to Brisbane, its new home port, and sail year-round from October 2020. Carnival Splendor will join the Australian fleet in December 2019 as the ship repositions to her new home port in Sydney and is set to become the newest and largest ship home ported year-round in Australia.

Carnival sails from Sydney and Melbourne and will do so from Brisbane in 2020. Carnival's itineraries range from three-night short weekend getaways to 8-night Pacific Island escapes to longer holidays between Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Hawaii.

With more than 45 daily activities from the thrilling Green Thunder waterslide, themed nights, live Broadway-style entertainment and the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss with Seuss at Sea™.
