Cruise Description 4 Night Cruise sailing from Greenock roundtrip aboard Hebridean Princess.

The Clyde estuary is a veritable treasure trove of lush gardens, ancient castles and historic houses. Explore them and discover their hidden secrets in the company of our knowledgeable guide on this enthralling short, spring break which is the ideal introduction to the exclusive world of Hebridean Princess.

The magnificent mountainside setting of Benmore Botanic Garden beckons with its towering 150 year old Redwood Avenue and renowned collections of rhododendrons and conifers. A walk through Benmore can bring close encounters with red squirrels. sparrowhawks and the occasional Golden Eagle.

Known locally as 'wee Cumbrae', Little Cumbrae plays host to tranquil walks ashore. Rough and rocky, Little Cumbrae bears more of a resemblance to a Hebridean island than to some of its neighbours on the Clyde.

Sail to Largs for our visit to Ardgowan House, a magnificent privately owned stately home set within 400 acres of woodland overlooking the Clyde estuary. Built in the 18th century, the 76 room Palladian mansion has been the ancestral seat of the Shaw Stewart family for 800 years.

Built in 1263, Hunterston is one of the very few castles in Scotland that still belongs to the original family, the Clan Hunter. In 1799 the Hunter family started to build a house 500 yards away from the castle and this was to become their main mansion house.

Steaming to the Victorian town of Rothesay, we tour the flamboyant Neo-Gothic Mount Stuart House, testament to the 3rd Marquess of Bute. An eclectic mix of architectural styles, Mount Stuart was the first house in Scotland to be wired for electricity. Our voyage concludes with a relaxing cruise of scenic East Kyle and Loch Striven which was used for practice bomb tests before the Dambuster attacks during WWII.
