Cruise Description 7 Night Cruise sailing from Oban roundtrip aboard Hebridean Princess.

World Heritage and Nature & Wildlife interest cruise.

As the remotest part of the British Isles, St Kilda forms the most important seabird breeding site in northwest Europe. With cliffs, sea stacks and grassy slopes, the islands are ideally suited to nesting birds. Embark on a voyage of discovery, in the company of an expert naturalist, to share their passion for the natural world.

Local boats take us to Lunga, where Atlantic grey seals and puffins are abundant. Binoculars at the ready as we sail to Wester Ross, on the lookout for cetaceans. The dramatic cliffs of Handa island provide an important breeding ground for tens of thousands of seabirds each summer.

Uncover the secrets of ancient history at the prehistoric standing stones of Callanish and the well-preserved Carloway Broch. The area around the Butt of Lewis is a stunning, nature lover's paradise which attracts a large variety of birds and marine wildlife.

Venturing to St Kilda we cruise the awe-inspiring bird cliffs and sea stacks, ahead of anchoring in Village Bay. Weather permitting, we land on Hirta to explore the abandoned 19th century village where the indigenous Soay sheep roam.

At the Balranald RSPB Reserve on North Uist, sweeping sandy beaches and wildflower-rich grassland are home to corncrakes and lapwing. Cruise the dramatic cliffs of the Shiant Isles to witness the myriad breeding seabirds which nest there.

We land on Kilmory beach and go in search of the Rum's red deer population, many of which have been the subject of a decades long study of their evolution. Known as 'eagle island. Mull is home to white-tailed sea eagles and golden eagles, and we go in search of these magnificent birds of prey.
