The breathtaking beauty of Scotland's islands is beyond compare and the contrasting geology and customs among the islands make each one unique. The Outer Hebrides are possibly the most magical and unspoiled of all the islands around the coast of mainland Britain, join us to discover their best kept secrets.

The white sands of Vatersay are calling. Experience the thrill of a beach landing on this idyllic island surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. Visit historic Prince's Bay on Eriskay, the Young Pretender's first landfall on Scottish soil, before touring the soft, undulating landscapes of South Uist, in contrast to neighbouring North Uist, peppered with green blue lochans.

Explore the untold beauty of Harris, the grand medieval church of St Clement's at Rodel and visit one of the famous Harris Tweed weavers for a demonstration of this ancient skill. The Shiants are a privately owned collection of uninhabited islands in The Minch, boasting wonderful sea cliffs which are a nesting site for colonies of seabirds.

Travel through time to the ancient history of Lewis at the Callanish Stones and Carloway Broch, exploring the rich diversity of this northerly Gaelic heartland. The bustling town of Stornoway offers a warm welcome and harbourside strolls, or visit the Lews Castle Museum to learn the rich heritage of the Outer Isles.

Take in the MacLeod stronghold of Dunvegan Castle which has survived many conflicts in its 800 year history. Enjoy tranquil walks on Muck ahead of our final visit to the famous Isle of Staffa where the dramatic and romantic Fingal's Cave was immortalised by Mendelssohn in his Hebrides Overture.
