Cruise Description 7 Night Cruise sailing from Oban roundtrip aboard Hebridean Princess.

Beautiful in all season, the Scottish Highlands and Islands display an even more stunning tapestry of landscapes in autumn as green turns to bronze, copper and gold. Far from the crowds and the everyday world, savour the serenity of the north west coast and the Outer Isles at arguably the best time of year.

Settle into life on board as we steam northwards where the Highland jewel of Plockton awaits. Enjoy afternoon strolls by the translucent waters of Loch Carron, rimmed with exotic palms. Based at the Old Inn at Gairloch, Creative Connections is home to a collection of artists and craftspeople; here we can ‘Meet the Makers’ and enjoy a demonstration of their skills, and discover how people live and work in this remote area of the Highlands.

Cross the suspension bridge at Corrieshalloch Gorge to marvel at the Falls of Measach, plummeting into the spectacular gorge below. The Summer Isles are calling; stretch our legs on the uninhabited Isle Martin.

We arrive in Stornoway to sense the mystery of the awe-inspiring Megalithic Callanish Standing Stones, and the well-preserved, 2,000-year-old Carloway Broch. Discover how the diversity of the Outer Hebrides is shaped by a unique combination of land, sea and people at the Lews Castle Museum.

A tour of the Uists uncovers a host of ancient monuments, many dating back thousands of years, such as the neolithic cairn of Barpa Langass and the stone circle of Pobull Fhinn. Returning over the Sea of the Hebrides, the tiny Isle of Ulva if our final port of call. The island’s past is well documented at Sheila’s Cottage Museum.
