Cruise Description |
7 Night Cruise sailing from Oban to Kyle of Lochalsh aboard Lord of the Highlands.
Experience the best of the Inner Hebrides. From the unspoilt and remote Atlantic Isles of Islay, Colonsay, Tiree and Jura to legendary Skye, island hopping in the Inner Isles is an experience to treasure. Explore hidden gems, island distilleries, historic monuments and lush gardens.
The whisky isle of Islay is known for its peaty, smoky malts, enjoy a tasting and tour at the world renowned Lagavulin distillery and visit Finlaggan, the historic Centre of the Lordship of the Isles.
Considered to have one of the finest rhododendron collections in Scotland, the woodland gardens of Colonsay House abound with many rare trees and shrubs, may from the southern hemisphere. Planted primarily during the 1930s, they consist of a formal garden area close to the Georgian manor house, and more informal woodland areas.
Tiree is home to the museum which tells the fascinating story of the hazardous construction of Scotland’s tallest lighthouse at Skerryvore, on one of Britain's most dangerous rocks, over 10 nautical miles out to sea. Neighbouring Coll, a bird haven fringed by silver sand beaches, is the idyllic location for an exploration on foot or by bicycle.
On Skye we trace the legacy of Clan Donald at the Museum of The Isles housed in the grounds of Armadale Castle, before enjoying a drink at the most remote pub on mainland Britain, the Old Forge at Inverie. Finally, we discover a new distillery producing craft whisky and gin at the Isle of Raasay distillery, the first legal spirits distilled on an island rooted in centuries of illicit distilling. |
