Brief Description 17 Night Cruise sailing from Ft Lauderdale (Pt Everglades), USA onboard Crystal Symphony
Type of Cruise Luxury
Departure Date 09 Feb 2027
Cruise Description Upon leaving Fort Lauderdale we enjoy a couple of laidback days at sea before Tortola in the British Virgin Islands appears on the horizon, a place beloved by snorkelers and divers for its dazzling reef life. St John’s, Antigua, is next, home to the beautifully preserved Georgian-era dockyard used by Nelson’s ships. Then it’s on to see and be seen in the chic boutiques and stylish restaurants of glamorous Gustavia, St Barts, before soaking up the sea views in Les Saintes, a group of unspoiled islands in Guadeloupe, which is also known for its fabulous coffee and French-Creole cuisine. Admire the Caribbean Georgian and Victorian architecture of Basseterre, the capital of St Kitts, before we arrive in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a mix of charming pastel-coloured houses and lively rum bars. Next, we travel to the Dominican Republic – first to Punta Cana, home to the longest stretch of white-sand beach in the Caribbean, and then at Santo Domingo, a charming and historically important city where we spend two days. Enjoy your time exploring its cobblestone streets, lined with buildings dating back to the 1500s, including the first cathedral built in the New World. After all that sightseeing, a day at sea brings the chance to relax before Jamaica comes into view. Here, we visit Port Antonio – beloved by the likes of film star Errol Flynn, and celebrated authors Ian Fleming and Noël Coward, for its hidden coves, mountainous coastline, and waterfalls – and then Montego Bay to recline on its stunning beaches or enjoy a round of golf. Next comes George Town on Grand Cayman for a spot of shopping – a visit to the Cayman Islands National Museum is also rewarding – before one last sea day returns us to Fort Lauderdale.
